About Our Chapter Patch

The "Single Piece" patch of the Columbia River Chapter of the American Cruisers Motorcycle Club was developed with the idea of describing a geographical area of membership without giving the impression of claiming any territory.  May the colors we use be seen only as neutral colors to illustrate the natural world.

The strong NW elements used in the patch are representational of where we live and work, what we believe and hopefully, how we are perceived by not only the public at large, but by Riding Clubs and other Motorcycle Clubs in our area.  We wish to be viewed simply as a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who love to ride and involve ourselves in charity work whenever possible.

The mighty Columbia River, our namesake, could hardly be left out of this equation.
This river, which originates in Canada, drains a 359,000 square mile basin that covers 7 states. Its influences are vast and far reaching and we welcome membership from anyone in her proximity.

The Eagle, though a deadly and tenacious predator, is portrayed on the patch as a symbol of strength, fellowship and benevolence.

Mt. St. Helens, in this time of our beginning, is once again active as we are active.
With her rumblings from within, her display of strength, her renewed growth, and her geographic location in Washington State, this mountain makes a perfect element.

Our gold border is meant to symbolize neutrality.
